About the Strength of Us / 1940×1303mm / oil ・ linen ・ wooden frame
I introduce the details of this work.

I tried that I expressed the structure of the cloth of the woman three-dimensionally.
[process]
[1] While considering the structure of the cloth, I painted dark colors of the lining of the cloth with oil colors.
[2] I waited for them to dry, and I painted the threads of the cloth with water-soluble emulsion colors one by one.
The repulsion of water and oil had brought about an effect to the sharpness of the threads.
[3] After the paint dried, I gave GLAZING with transparent oil colors while being conscious of the structure of the cloth.
[4] I repeated [2] and [3] several times. Then the structure of the cloth became three-dimensional, and the multilayer characteristics of the threads became three-dimensional, too.
[notes]
GLAZING: Technique to paint a transparent thin layer. It can get smooth gradations and high colors of the chroma comparatively.
