I modified the nozzle part according to my family's opinion that the nozzle of the dryer is not necessary because it should dry quickly.

The tools I used to modify it.
At the top of the image is abrasive paste.
Used for finishing with water resistant sandpaper.

I decided to create a door between my private space and my art school space for the protected cat (Niji) that we welcomed as our family in October 2020.

The door and outer frame are made of 18mm MDF (Medium density fiberboard) processed with a band saw.

I glued the base material to make the wall of the passage to the back of the arched frame.

I painted the doors in rose orange, the outer frame in off-white, and the floorboards in natural wood with matte urethane paint.

Check the position of the pillar in the wall with the back wall detector, make a hole with the forstner bit, and cut it out in an arch shape with a jigsaw.

I opened one side.

I cut out the other side in the same way.

I cut out the interfering part of the four pieces of wood to secure the inner wall of the passage.

The processing of the wall is finished.

I glued the floorboards, attached the outer frame to the wall and fixed it with screws from the back side.

I made a side wall inside the passage.

Three sheets of 1 mm thick cardboard were piled up on the wall of the passage, and finally wallpaper was applied to finish it.

It looks like it was seen from the side with the door.

I prepared a door lock fitting (push latch / made by Sugatsune Industries).

The state that the latch is opened.
Because the side wall inside the passage is recessed a few millimeters from the outer frame, It is necessary to adjust the position with the striker on the door side.

I prepared a 3mm thick low foam PVC board (FOREX / manufactured by Akurisandē).
It's easy enough to cut with a cutter, but it's strong enough.

Processed according to the shape of the catcher of the latch.

Put the catcher on it like this.

It looks like a push latch is attached.

These are brass fittings for attaching the door.
Antic Brass (Ryugasaki City, Ibaraki Prefecture) has a wide variety of these metal fittings.
In between is a knob.
I chose one that looks like an old doorknob.
Pressing the knob while the door is open closes the push latch catcher and locks the door.
Press it again to open the catcher of the push latch, unlock it and open the door.
It is a mechanism that cannot be opened from the opposite side (private space side) when locked.

It is completed.
